AT SEA LEVEL
The tour of the island by boat: Beaches of pebbles worn out by the sea or walls of rock worked by the wind can be found around the island, as well as grottoes, natural arches and "faraglioni". At the reception of the hotel you will find all the information on boat rental or organised tours of the island.
The other Aeolian islands: thanks to the central position of the island of Salina, daily excursions to the other islands can be organised easily by boat or hydrofoil. At the reception of the hotel you will find all the information on organised tours or the timetables of hydrofoil and ships.
Freediving: "The scuba diver dives to see, the free-divers dives to look into himself". With these few words, Umberto Pelizzari, world champion of free-diving, explains what a free-diver feels when leaving the surface to dive into the deep blue.
Anna, the hotel director and free-diving instructor for Apnea Academy, the free-diving school founded by Umberto Pelizzari, organises courses for all levels.
The sea of Salina has a visibility of around 30 meters and temperatures around 26 degrees Celsius. During summer a 3mm wet suit is enough to dive.
The natural reserve of Salina: the two mountains of Salina, the highest of the Aeolian islands, are loved by hikers and mountain bikers. The paths are surrounded by rich vegetation and the panorama is unique.
